On August 6th, 2017 I turn 39, and while I’m sure there are some who will read this who feel that is still quite a young age, I assure you that it is the oldest I have ever been.  I keep thinking back over the years of my life, the journey I’ve traveled, and the stops I’ve made along the way.  This song really fits the way I am feeling at this time, the high notes and the low notes.  Not just those in the melody, but those in my life as well.  I’m not sure where I’m headed next, but I’m interested in seeing where I end up for sure.
There are places I’ll remember
All my life, though some have changed
Some forever, not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life, I’ve loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I’ll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I’ll often stop and think about them
In my life, I love you more
